Obituary

Concezio Gino D'Amato of Somerville died on Monday, April 29, at Tufts Medical Center of Boston. Born and raised in Pettorano Sul Gizio, Italy, he was the son of the late Angelo and Margherita (Leone) D'Amato. Concezio was employed as a butcher at Sulmona Meat Market in the North End until two years ago, and was passionate about his work. He was a member of the Gizio Club of the North End, loved to garden and make wine, he loved dancing and going out with friends.

Concezio was the beloved husband of Yolanda (Federico) D'Amato, and the devoted father of Angelo D'Amato of Lynn, and Maria Moreschi and her husband Richard of Lynnfield. He was the loving grandfather of Nicholas and Andrew Moreschi, and the dear brother of Dora Federico of Medford and her late husband Francesco, and Anna Romagnoli and her husband Donato of Italy. Concezio is also survived by nieces and nephews both in the U.S. and Italy.

Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Saturday, May 4 at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday, May 3, from 4 through 8 PM. Services will conclude with entombment at Woodlawn Mausoleum, Everett.
