Raymond A. Castonguay, age 87, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family. He was born in Chicopee on September 21, 1931 to the late Henry and Armina (Benoit) Castonguay. Raymond was a US Army veteran serving during the Korean War and while stationed in Germany he met his loving wife of 64 years Annemarie. Raymond was well known in the automotive service management industry and was president and CEO of Five Star Warranty Service, retiring in 1999. During his retirement years he looked forward to fishing with his grandson Derek at Quabbin Reservoir and spending time with his family and his grandchildren. Besides his wife, Raymond leaves behind two daughters, Elaine Duperre and her husband Maurice; Diana Weldon and her husband Darrell; one son, Warren Castonguay and Nancy; Grace Busto, Raju Patel and family; eight grandchildren, Derek, Tina, Warren Jr., Justin, Jonathan, Darian, Danae and Rahki; four great grandchildren, Logan, Zack, Lila and Owen. He is predeceased by several siblings and is survived by three sisters, Doris Savoie, Gertrude Comtois and Laurel Fredericks and one brother, Henry Castonguay. A Funeral Service will be held on Fri, May 3, 2019 from 9 am at Grise Funeral Home 280 Springfield St. Chicopee with a Mass of Christian Liturgy at 10 am at Sacred Heart Church in Springfield. Burial will follow at the MA Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. Visiting Hours will be held on Thurs, May 2, 2019 from 4 to 7 pm at the funeral home.
