Jimmie Garner Folk, 67, of Tifton passed away Sunday, April 28, 2019, at her residence. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 30, 2019, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. A private service and burial will be held for Ms. Folk at a later date.
Born November 24, 1951 in Corsicana, Texas, Ms. Folk was the daughter of the late James Owen Garner and Erma Lee Jobe Carrender. She worked as a registered nurse for 35 years and at Tift Regional Medical Center for 31 years.
Ms. Folk is survived by her life partner, Kim Carey of Tifton; five daughters, Sara Folk of Atlanta, Stephanie Sapp of Ty Ty, Sherri Mejia of Vicksburg, Mississippi, Sean Davidson of Monroe, Louisiana and Amanda Kinley and her husband, Dave of Senoia; ten grandchildren, Spencer Ann, Luanna, Sonnie, Edward, Leah, Tabatha, John, Carter, Colin and Caylee; six great-grandchildren; one half-sister, Tiffany Garner; and her step-mother, Pansy Garner of Monroe, Louisiana.
