Ernest G. “Bimbo” Staves, 62, of Franklin, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 25, 2019, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Susan (White) Staves.
Born in Norwood, June 1, 1956, the son of the late Ernest A. and Barbara (Patterson) Staves, he was raised in Franklin.
Ernie was a devoted fan of the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox. Most of all, he cherished time spent with his family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Tyler and Olivia Staves of Franklin, Angela Rockwood and her husband Ron of Roseburg, Oregon and is predeceased by his infant daughter Rachel A. Staves.
He is also survived by his sister Linda Marston and her husband Kerry of Benson, North Carolina, his brother Chuck “Cass” Staves of Woonsocket, Rhode Island.
He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and his constant companions Kyle and Khloe.
Calling hours will be held Monday, April 29th in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street, Franklin from 5-7 p.m. followed by a service at 7 p.m.
A private burial will be held later.
