Louise H. Moore, 85, of Tifton, Georgia, died Tuesday, January 3, 2006, at Tift Health Care in Tifton, Georgia.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M., Thursday, January 5, at Pine Level Cemetery, Ben Hill County, with the Rev. Leroy Spivey officiating.
Mrs. Moore was born April 3, 1920, in Ben Hill County, Georgia, to the late Rufus and Minnie Dora Troup Horton. She grew up in Fitzgerald, graduating from Fitzgerald High School. Mrs. Moore was a former resident of Miami, Florida before moving back to Fitzgerald in 1978 and then to Tifton. She was a former lunchroom lady for Banyon Elementary School and was a former Clerk for Jefferson’s Department Store, both in Miami, Florida. Mrs. Moore was a member and former pianist of New Prospect Baptist Church in Tifton.
Mrs. Moore is survived by sons: William Rufus Troup, Bradenton, FL and James Edward “Jimmy” Troup, Fitzgerald; daughter: Lyndell Renz, Louisiana; stepdaughter: Delois Allen. Deland, FL; 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, James Edward “Snooks” Troup. Milton Malcolm Moore, a brother and a sister.
