Gloria Mary LeClerc (Riley) 78, passed away peacefully on the morning of April 13th, 2019 surrounded by her loving children. Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Leo A. and Josephine O. (Erwin) LeClerc.
Gloria was raised in Salem, attending St. Joseph’s School and graduating from Salem High School, Class of 1959. She was also a dedicated member of Ste. Anne’s Parish.
Gloria’s life revolved around her five children. She was a devoted and adoring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Because of her beautiful personality and big heart, she touched many lives throughout the years. After her children were school age she returned to work. She held many positions, but her greatest accomplishment was being a Franchise owner and manager of a Lil’ Peach in Beverly. Gloria also worked as a daycare provider at Little Darlings Preschool in Salem and lastly retired from Steve’s Quality Market in Salem.
Gloria is survived by her five children: John Riley Jr. and wife Jean Kennedy of Florida, Gloria Riley, Cheryl Riley-Jalbert and husband Michael Jalbert, Lynda LeClerc all of Salem MA, Michael Riley of Danvers MA. Gloria is also survived by her four grandchildren: Ryan Riley, Kayla Riley, Nyccole LeClerc, and Deven Riley-Jalbert; as well as two great grandchildren Kyleigh and Mason Riley. She had several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. She was predeceased by her brothers Robert and Roger LeClerc and her daughter-in-law Pauline Riley.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Memorial Mass on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Ste. Anne Church, 290 Jefferson Ave., Salem, MA at 11:00 AM. Burial will be private. There will be no visiting hours.
