Donna C. Jordan, 89, formerly from South Wellfleet, passed away at Vernon Manor in Vernon, CT on April 16, 2019. Donna was born on November 25, 1929 in Imperial, PA. She was the daughter of Ida (Seabright ) and Robert Cummins. After graduating from Grove City College, Donna moved to Washington, DC to work for the U.S. Department of Health. It was there she met her husband, Bob. After marriage, they moved to Pittsfield, MA and eventually settled in Dalton, MA to raise their family. In 1989, Donna and Bob moved to South Wellfleet, MA where they enjoyed their retirement. Donna loved to putter around in the garden and enjoyed the beauty of South Wellfleet. She loved taking trips to Montana to visit her daughter Kathy and her family. Donna leaves behind a daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Jim Kelly of Stafford Springs, CT, a son-in-law, Dennis Jones of Big Fork, MT, a sister and brother in law, Darlene and Chot Smith of Pittsburgh, PA, three grandchildren, Megan Kelly of Stafford Springs, CT, Maura Jones of Missoula, MT and Jordan Jones of Kalispell, MT. She also leaves behind a nephew and many wonderful friends. Donna was predeceased by her husband Bob, her daughter Kathy, her brother, Warren, and her nephew, Alan. The family would like to thank Vernon Manor and Hospice for taking care of and watching over Donna. We appreciate your kindness, thoughtfulness and, most of all, your caring. At Donna’s request, there will be no services. A private gathering will take place at the National Cemetery in Bourne, MA at the convenience of the family.
