William M. “Bill” Roberts, 80, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Thursday, April 18, 2019, at Pruitt Health in Fitzgerald.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
Mr. Roberts was born March 20, 1939, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, to the late John David & Mona Thornton Roberts. He was an automotive insurance adjuster and sold Xerox office equipment. Mr. Roberts served his country honorably in the armed forces. He loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his children: Kevin Roberts of Jacksonville, Florida, Kelli Roberts of Jacksonville, Florida, Eric Roberts of South Carolina, and Sloane Blackstock of Fitzgerald; seven grandchildren: Darren Christopher Roberts, Patrick Steven Roberts, Tyler Cheyenne Hixon, McKenzie Ray Hixon, Eric Justin Roberts, Nicole Blaise Roberts and Haley Griffin; great-granddaughters, Anna Cherish Griffin, Peyton Marie Roberts and McKinley Addison Roberts; brothers: Tommy & Sharon Roberts of Fitzgerald and Jimmy Roberts of Fitzgerald; and two sisters: Joan & Wayne Register of O’Brien, Florida and Kathryn Skuza of Jonesboro. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, William Darren Roberts and a brother, John David Roberts, Jr.
