HOLLIS- Wendy Beth Vachon-Hanson, passed away at her home, April 15, 2019 at the age of 46, after a courageous battle with cancer. Her family was by her side. Wendy was born January 13, 1973 in Sanford, Maine. She graduated from Massabesic High School in 1991. She worked as deputy clerk for the town of Hollis and was office manager for Pro-Turf. Wendy was well known for her problem-solving skills, honesty, loyalty, and vivaciousness. She was also a passionate advocate for the Pit Bull breed. Wendy is survived by her husband Troy Hanson of Hollis; her children, Cody Vachon of Shapleigh, and Jordan Hanson of Hollis; Her mother Diane Huggard and Husband Rob Huggard of Shapleigh; Her siblings Derek Vachon and partner Lori Bisciglia of New Gloucester/Gray, Sister Danielle Gerrish and husband Richmond of Arundel; Aunts and Uncles Thomas Lazzara of Leominster, Massachusetts, Norman Lazzara and wife Joan of Orange Park, Florida, Patricia Oliver of Rochester, New Hampshire, Dennis Lazzara and wife Michelle of Wells, Maine, Shirley McCrillis of Rochester, New Hampshire, Gerri Mullins of Hampton Beach, New Hampshire. Nieces; Lauren Dugre and husband Lucas of Springvale, Maine, Tanner Walsh of Arundel/Biddeford, and Hadley Gerrish of Arundel; her best friend Rachel Karter Bova and husband Mike of Spring Texas. She was predeceased in death by her father Alan Ray Vachon of Shapleigh.
A celebration of life ceremony will be held on Saturday 4-20-19 from 2:00 – 5:00 pm at Duffy’s Tavern & Grill 168 Saco Ave Old Orchard Beach.
