Richard Ramos, 72, of New Bedford passed away Monday April 8, 2019 at St. Luke’s Hospital after a long illness.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late John B. and Christina (Souza) Ramos, he lived in New Bedford all of his life.
Richard was formerly employed as a machine operator at Fibre Leather until his retirement.
He is survived by his siblings, Linda Ramos Gomes of New Bedford, Sylvia Ramos Barros and her husband Randall, Sr. of Fairhaven, and Thomas Ramos and his wife Brenda of Tiverton, RI; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brothers, John B. Ramos, Jr., Timothy Ramos, and David Ramos.
His Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday April 17, 2019 at 11 AM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, with visitation prior from 9-11 AM. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. For directions and guestbook, please visit www.saundersdwyer.com.
