Gail Tindall Chambless, 73, of Tifton passed away Monday, April 8, 2019, at her residence. Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, April 11, 2019, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Joseph L. Crumley and the Rev. Randy Stokes officiating. Mrs. Chambless will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family with receive friends on Thursday, April 11, 2019, at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of the service.
Mrs. Chambless’ grandsons and family friend, Todd Williams, will serve as pallbearers.
Born November 23, 1945 in Irwin County, Mrs. Chambless was the daughter of the late Willis Tindall and Doris Wilson Tindall. She was also preceded in death by her step-mother, Grace Clements Tindall; and one sister, Mary Pritchard. Before retiring, she worked for Dixie Oil, and later at Tift Regional Medical Center in the Security Department. She was a member of Tifton’s First Assembly of God.
Mrs. Chambless is survived by her husband, Donald Chambless of Tifton; three sons and daughters-in-law, Allen and Stephanie Peugh, LaDon and Kacee Chambless and Courtney and Allison Peugh, all of Tifton; one daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Bill Ryder of Tifton; eight grandchildren, Bryce Peugh, Logan Peugh, Lelan Peugh, Chase Powell, Cheyenne Ryder, Cole Ryder, Garrett Chambless and Jeremy Chambless; two great-grandchildren, John Hilton Chambless and Mylee Chambless; and numerous nieces and nephews.
