Obituary

Roland F. Theroux 80, of 136 Lyman St, Woonsocket died Monday at Landmark Medical Center. He was the husband of Eva (Gervais) Theroux. Mr Theroux was born in Woonsocket a son of the late Gideon and Eugenie (Laplume) Theroux. He was a molder for the Draper Corp. in Hopedale MA for twenty years before working as an assembler for GM where he retired after twelve years in 1990.
Mr. Theroux was a WWII Navy veteran. He was a member of VFW post 6342 of Forestadale, and the Woonsocket Lodge of Elks.

Mr. Theroux is survived by one son Robert Theroux of Woonsocket, five daughters, Irene White of Woonsocket, Cecile Evans of Smithfield, Nancy Dussault of Buffalo NY, Jacqueline Campopiano, and Jeannine Plant, both of Woonsocket, 17 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. He was also the father of the late Aline Valentin and was the brother of the late Romeo and Donat Theroux , and the late Loretta Brunelle and Rhea Chevrette.

His funeral will be held Saturday at 9:30 from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home 99 Cumberland St. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 in St Joseph’s Church Mendon Rd, Woonsocket. Burial will be held in Resurrection Cemetery. Visiting hours are Friday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. In lieu of flowers donations to the American Cancer Society New England Division Inc. 222 Richmond St. Providence, RI 02903-4253 in his memory would be appreciated.
