Michael S. Herbert, 55 of New Bedford died April 3, 2019 unexpectedly at St. Luke's Hospital.
He was the companion of Virginia I. Sherman.
Born in New Bedford, son of the late Grace (Buckles) Herbert and Frank Costa, III, he lived in New Bedford all of his life.
He was formerly employed as a bus driver for many years.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and bowling.
Survivors include his companion; a son, Michael S. Herbert, Jr. of New Bedford; 2 brothers, John Herbert of New Bedford and Ronald Herbert of Maine; 3 daughters, Bethany Hess and Amanda Redanz, both of New Bedford and Kristi Botelho of Portsmouth, VA; 5 grandchildren, Jaggar, Roriegh, Mason, Willow and Luke; and several nieces and nephews.
His visiting hours will be held on Sunday, April 7th from 4-8 PM with a prayer service at 7 PM during his wake.
