Jacqueline “Jackie” Bussell, 80, of Ocilla, died Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 4:30PM, Saturday, April 6, 2019, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald with the Rev. Dr. Lloyd Stembridge officiating. Interment will follow in Mystic Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening, from 6PM until 8PM at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Ms. Bussell was born May 26, 1938, in High Point, North Carolina to the late Clarence Eddie Hutchens and Elsie Tuggle. She was a graduate of High Point High School in North Carolina. Ms. Bussell ran a produce stand in Fitzgerald with her husband. She was a loyal caregiver and a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Ms. Bussell loved to travel especially to Disney World and the beach. She was always willing to help anyone as well as preparing meals for others.
She is survived by her daughters, Bridget Corley & Emory of Adrian, Kim Russell & Sam of Irwinville and Rhonda Haggard of Irwinville; grandchildren, Brandy Register & Heath, Sherrie Bussell, Chrissy Venable & Jeremy, Steven Haggard, Dustin Russell, Lacey Braswell, Nikki Haggard, Deven Russell, and Robbie “Goochy” Russell; great-grandchildren, Heath Register, Jr., Hayden Register, Brayden Venable, Jackie Venable and Bryson Rouse; brother, Odell Hutchens, High Point, North Carolina. Many nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ronald Bussell.
