Sheila Dawn Hood, 70, of Fitzgerald, died Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at Cordele Health and Rehab in Cordele.
Funeral services will be held 2PM, Saturday, April 6, 2019, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald with Rev. Edsel Young officiating. Interment will follow in the Wray Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening, from 6PM until 8PM, at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Ms. Hood was born December 15, 1948, in Manchester, Georgia to the late Marion Lewis Redden & Ruby Henderson. She was a 1967 graduate of Manchester High School. She was the bookkeeper and secretary at Ben Hill Office Products in Fitzgerald. She enjoyed cooking, cross-stitching, and reading. Ms. Hood was an excellent pool player. She was a member of Manchester United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her children, Crystal Hood of Fitzgerald, and Ryan Hood & Dana of Fitzgerald; grandchildren, Robin Giacchino and David Giacchino; brother, Mike Redden & Gayle of Cordele, and a sister, Rita Lane & Buddy of Valley Alabama. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robin W. Hood and a brother, James Redden.
