Margaret M. “Margie” Rooney, passed away at home in Medford on April 1, 2019. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, James J. Rooney; their children, Kathleen DeMarco and her late husband John of Malden, Kevin Rooney and his wife Rita of Everett and Robert Rooney of Arlington; their grandchildren, Robyn DeMarco, Lauren LeBlanc and her husband Jacob, Kerry and Erin DeMarco and Samantha and James Rooney; and by their great grandchildren Megan, Emily and Grace LeBlanc. Her memory is lovingly cherished by her siblings William “Billy” Armstrong and his companion Ann Tobin, Gladys “Tootsie” Grato, John Armstrong and his wife Joanne, Mabel Arsenault, Teresa Morrissey and her husband Martin as well as her predeceased siblings Mary Armstrong, Patricia “Patty” Buonopane, Rita Armstrong, Winifred “Winnie” McCarthy, Frances “Frannie” Somers and Janet Haddock. Relatives & friends are invited to attend her funeral from the Breslin Funeral Home, 610 Pleasant St., Malden on Friday April 5th at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden at 10 AM. Services will conclude with interment in Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden. Visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the Mass on Friday only.
