Barbara J. Cella, 76, of Derry, NH, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, March 31, 2019 in her home. She was born in Medford, MA, on August 31, 1942, a daughter of the late Americo and Gladys (Breckney) Gioiosa. She had been a resident of Derry for many years, and had been employed for Walmart as a cashier and a greeter. Barbara was a wonderful warm caring woman who loved everyone. Her family, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were her greatest joys in life along with her brothers and beloved sister Beverly Casarano (Predeceased). She was loved very deeply. Barbara left an imprint on everyone’s heart.
She is survived by her son, Paul Cella, III of Auburn, NH; three daughters, Gina Baldasaro and her husband Tim of Allenstown, NH, Kelly Mason and her husband Robert of Londonderry, NH, Christina Zecha and her husband Carl of Derry, NH; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; the father of her children, Paul Cella, Jr. of Nashua, NH; four brothers, Robert Gioiosa of Burlington, MA, James Gioiosa of Mesa, AZ, William Gioiosa of Somerville, MA, and Edward Gioiosa of The Villages, FL; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, calling hours were held on Friday, April 5th from 1 - 4pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. A memorial service followed at 4:00pm in the funeral home. A celebration of life gathering followed the services at the Puritan Back Room in Manchester from 5 – 8pm.
