Mary Fricchione, 92, of Medford, formerly of Roxbury, died Friday March 29th at the Winchester Nursing Center surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Raffaele and Matilda (DiMasi) Fricchione.
Mary was raised in Roxbury and lived there virtually her whole life before moving to Medford several years ago. Mary was a seamstress for many years throughout her life. Mary was a family woman and loved to spend time with siblings, all of her nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Mary’s love and affection did not just stop with her family it was also with animals, especially cats. She would always be seen every day putting out a bowl food for all the neighborhood cats. She could always put a smile on someone face. Mary’s kind and big heart will always be remembered by those she met.
Mary was the beloved wife of 5 years to the late Charles Fiore. She was the devoted sister to Columba Falcone and her late husband Joseph, the late Carmine Fricchione and his late wife Madeline, the late Marguerite Fricchione and the late Matilda Shafter and her late husband Joseph. She was the loving aunt to Ralph Falcone and his wife Gina, Christine Clark and her husband Tom, Tillie Luzzo and her husband Frank, Mary and Louis Shafter. Great aunt of Marco and Eric Falcone, Candice and Joey Clark, Michael and Stephen Luzzo.
Funeral Service will be conducted in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford Tuesday, April 2nd at 11 AM. Followed by interment at Mount Benedict Cemetery, West Roxbury.
