Louise M. Ercolini, age, 97, of Winchester, passed away on March 15, 2019. She was the beloved daughter of the late Erminio and Mary (Cavagnaro) Ercolini.
Louise was born and raised in Somerville, with her parent and five siblings Arthur, John, Bill and Irma, and Marian (Pirani). After graduating from Somerville High School, Louise went to work at the Schrafft’s Candy Company in Charlestown. She worked her way up from candy maker to Employee Activity Director, where she worked until the company closed in 1981. Louise always loved to talk about how each chocolate was hand-dipped and each kind had a different swirl on top. As the Employee Activity Director, she loved to plan the company outings, Christmas parties and even employee cruises.
Louise had four cousins: Audrey, Janet, Olga, and Rosemarie, whom she considered sisters. She loved telling stories of being with her cousins all the time while growing up, so her mother knew where her children were.
Louise loved her family, which included eight nephews and one niece, many grand-nieces and nephews, and a late nephew John "Jack" Ercolini. She always found the time to make each and every one of them feel special.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a Memorial Mass on Tuesday, April 23 at 10AM at St. Mary’s Church 155 Washington St. Winchester, and are asked to meet directly at the church. Burial is private.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Louise’s memory may be made to the Andrea Pirani Cahill Foundation for Neurofibromatosis, 119 Downer Ave., Hingham, MA 02043.
