Obituary

WATERBORO- John (Perry) Beal, age 60, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Waterboro on March 28, 2019.

He was born in Massachusetts on Nov. 9, 1958, a son of Warren and Marcia (Beal) Perry. He grew up in Arlington, MA, where he attended school.

He worked at the Polaroid Corp. for 11 years, before leaving to establish a landscaping business in West Roxbury, MA. After the divorce of his first wife, Angela Moscaritolo, he moved his business to Maine in the late 1980’s. He then operated a firewood business in Sanford and owned and operated Advantage Coachworks in Alfred from 1995-2004.

John enjoyed watching TV and being with his pets. He was an avid bird lover as well. John always wanted to make sure the birds had plenty of seeds and suet.
He was in the Masons and the Massabesic Lions Club. He helped sell Christmas Trees at his business at Christmastime.

John legally changed his name his last name to Beal in honor of his mother.

In the summer of 2010, he became a Born Again Christian in a ceremony by Pastor Jeff at Kennebunk Pond.

He is predeceased by his mother- Marcia in 1992.

John is survived by his wife of 19 years whom he wed on Sept. 25, 1999- Teresa (August) Beal; father- Warren Perry and his wife Lorna Hoover of Chelsea, MA; stepdaughter- Brittany Olson Priluchnyi of Oregon; siblings- Janet Simmons of Lynn, MA and Adam Perry of Holliston, MA

A memorial service to celebrate John’s life will be held on Saturday April 6 at 11 AM at the Chad E. Poitras Cremation and Funeral Service Chapel, 498 Long Plains Road (Rt. 22) in Buxton. Online condolence messages can be submitted at the funeral home website, www.mainefuneral.com
