Obituary

Alice G. Renaud (Mom, Memere, Matante, Aunt), 91, of Berlin passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and North Country Angel, Crystal on Wednesday, March 27, 2019. She was born in Berlin on November 29, 1927, the daughter of Aime and Rose Emma (Robert) Lavoie. She happily made Berlin her lifelong residence. She was a proud graduate of Notre Dame High School class of 1946. In 1947 she married the love of her life, Henry, and they raised their three children with all the love and caring that they could ever ask for.

Alice is survived by her daughters Anne-Marie Hardman and her husband Alan of North Berwick, ME, and Claire Renaud and her husband Robert R. Cone of Berlin, NH, son Guy Renaud and his wife Denise of New Hampton, NH; 6 grandchildren: Zev Hardman, Catherine (Katie) Hardman, Jason Renaud, Moriah Renaud, Robert E. Cone, and Finley James Losch; 4 great-grandchildren: Jonathan and Zoe Hardman, and Caidence and Colton Cone; as well as several nieces and nephews who were loved beyond words. She was predeceased by her husband Henry Renaud in 2012; 3 sisters Roberta Lavoie, Lucille Pepin and Anita Lavigne and 4 brothers Aime Lavoie, Robert Lavoie, Donald Lavoie and Raymond Lavoie.

Alice had a good long life filled with hard work entwined with lots of fun and laughter. From running in the woods collecting berries in her youth, raising and caring for her family, working as a stitcher at Converse for a few years, camping for many years with dear friends at Lakeside Campground in Island Pond, Vt., reading, jigsaw puzzle making and keeping in touch with family and friends on facebook, she did it all with smile and laughter. Alice loved everyone and everyone loved her. She was small in stature but mighty in love and spirit. Everyone thought she was “so cute.”
Special thanks to the nurses and staff at Home Health and Hospice and North Country Angels, Father Michael and Deacon Mitch Couture who helped to bring her comfort and peace in her last days.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday May 3, 2019 at 1 PM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish, followed by burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
