DOYLE, Noelle (Byrne), age 82, of Canton, MA, formerly a long-time resident of West Roxbury, passed away at Hellenic Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Canton on March 26, 2019.
Noelle was born to Christopher and Ellen Byrne of Limerick City, Ireland on November 30, 1936. She was raised in Ireland before moving to England and eventually settling in Boston. She was one of 11 children; sister of the late Eileen, Alice, Violet, Christopher, Patrick and Vincent, and her four surviving brothers, Alphonsus, Paul, Sean and Oliver.
Noelle was never one to shy away from hard work. She was a leading saleswoman at Belden Jewelers in Dedham, MA for many years before retiring to Orlando, Florida.
Noelle was known for her optimistic spirit, tenacity, and she certainly knew how to throw a party. She will be truly missed by all that knew and loved her.
Noelle was the beloved wife of the late James P. Doyle of Limerick, Ireland. She was a devoted mother and is survived by her five children: Marian Shaughnessy & her husband Stephen of Canton, Janet Keiley & her husband Bill of Middleborough, Valerie McLea & her husband Paul of Orlando, Florida, Malcolm Doyle of Blackpool, England and Bobby Doyle of Mineral Point, Wisconsin. She is also survived by her 15 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre Street, West Roxbury, MA, on Monday, April 1st from 4:00-8:00 pm. There will be a funeral mass on Tuesday, April 2nd at St. John the Evangelist, 700 Washington Street, Canton, MA 02021 at 10:00 am.
