Derek S. Allder, of Haverhill, formerly of Medford, passed away suddenly on Saturday, March 16th. He was 30. Born in Malden and raised in Medford, he was cherished son of Lisa (Salvati) Allder and the late Scott Allder.
Derek was the ultimate sports fanatic especially when it came to the Boston teams he was their biggest fan, he enjoyed all different types of sports. When Derek was younger he grew up playing on all the little league teams, where he received the nick name Big Daddy for all the homeruns that he hit.
He was a fun loving, outgoing, caring man and when he walked into a room just his presence alone would light it up. He absolutely adored and loved his family and would do everything and anything for them. Derek might have been tall in stature but he was a huge teddy bear and carried around the biggest heart. An avid animal lover Derek adored his two dogs Samantha and Piper.
Derek was the cherished son of Lisa (Salvati) Allder and the late Scott Allder. He was the loving brother of Crystal and Tiffany Allder. He was the devoted fiancé of Krista McCarthy. He was the caring uncle of Alexia, Gabriela, Jayden, Caleb, Zachary, Madison and Scott. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins, who he loved unconditionally.
A funeral service will be celebrated in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Friday, March 29th at 1 PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family from 11 to 1 PM. Services will conclude with inurnment at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
