Colette L. Lavoie of Roslindale, MA died on March 17, 2019 at age 75. She leaves a brother and sister-in-law, Philip and Joan Lavoie, a sister who predeceased her, Suzanne O’Donnell, her nephews, Brandon Lavoie and Marty O’Donnell and nieces Kellie O’Donnell, Kim Wolfsong, Erin O’Donnell, and Katie Sullivan as well as several grandnieces and grandnephews. She maintained close and loving relationships with these family members in spite of geographical distance in many cases. Colette also extended much caring attention and guidance to Harrison and Ezra Gish, sons of friends.
She also leaves a close-knit group of diverse and in many instances lifelong friends. She was a wonderful aunt and a great friend and going forward her passing will be deeply felt among them all.
Colette attended Notre Dame College in Manchester, NH graduating as a Medical Technologist in 1966. In 1981 she earned a Master’s in Public Health from Boston University. She worked and lived in Boston, a city she loved. Colette also enjoyed traveling and visited many countries on her own, with friends and as part of a group. In her younger years she dabbled in photography but reading and the New York Times crossword puzzles remained her passions throughout the years.
At this time arrangements are being made for a private ceremony to celebrate her life.
