Tim Cox, 45, of Ocilla, Georgia, died Monday, March 18, 2019, at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held, 4 PM, Friday, March 22, 2019, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Chris Dorrity and the Rev. Tony Crosby officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, from 6 PM until 8 PM, at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Timbo was born April 22, 1973, in Tifton, Georgia, to Carol Carmichael Cox Chapman and the late Michael Edward Cox. He was a former resident of Atlanta, but lived in the community most of his life. He received his masonry training from East Central Technical College. He was a cargo salesman with the trailer manufacturing industry and also painted billboards. Timbo loved his family, listening to music and watching sunrises and sunsets. The best way to honor Timbos’ life is to “smile, smile, smile”.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Tracey Branam Cox of Ocilla; children: Nelson Cox of Ocilla, Austin Cox & fiancé Sierra Hall of Ocilla and Cameron Cox of Ocilla; grandchildren: Jacey Rae Hall and Michael Timothy Cox, II, who is on the way; mother, Carol Carmichael Chapman & Jimmy of Ocilla, sisters: Lisa Chapman Crosby & Tony of Columbus and Sherry Chapman of Melrose, Florida. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his dogs: Roxi, Yankee, Drake and Ginger. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Julieann Michelle Cox.
