New Bedford-Joao David Esteireiro died December 30, 2005 at home unexpectedly. He was the husband of Arlene (Branquinho) Esteireiro of New Bedford. He was the father of Nicolas Esteireiro of New Bedford. He was the brother of Jacob Esteireiro of New Bedford, Lucilia Fortunato of Sao Miguel, Isabel Ferreira, Grace Sousa, and Natalia Soares all of New Bedford. He was survived by several nieces, and nephews.
Mr. Esteireiro was the son of Ivaresto and Maria Silvina (Medeiros) Esteireiro of New Bedford. He was born in Aqua de Pau, Soa Miguel, Azores, and has live in this area for 17 years. He was a self-employed roofer, owning DC Roofing. He was a member of the Stackhouse Club. He was an avid hunter, fishing, and making his own home made wine.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday January 5, 2006 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church at 9:00 A.M. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours will be from 5 to 9 P.M., on Wednesday January 4, 2006 at the Perry Funeral Home.
