Delores Arlene Roberts, 84, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Friday, March 15, 2019, at Pruitt Health in Fitzgerald, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Monday, March 18, 2019, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Michael Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery, in Fitzgerald. The family will receive friends Monday, from 1 PM until 2 PM, before the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Roberts was born March 16, 1934, in Abbeville, Georgia, to the late Herschel Titus & Exie Robitzsch Roberts. She worked in real estate and land development. Mrs. Roberts enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting. At age 75 she was still riding horses. She loved and cared for her family and helped others. She was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son, Jerry Crump & Tina of Panama City, Florida; a daughter Deborah Crump of Warner Robins; grandchildren: Rusty, Kay, Kristy, Brandie, Lance and Shana; great-grandchildren: Kylie, Chaseton, Jaxon, Rhett, Zane, and Lily; and three brothers: Jack Roberts & Carolyn of Warner Robins, John Roberts of Perry and Don Roberts & Judy of Abbeville. In addition to her parents and her husband, Andrew M. ‘Buck” Jones, she was preceded in death by a son, Charles “Chuck” Crump, II; a sister, Shirley Sheppard; and three brothers: Keith Roberts, Titus Roberts, and Marcus Roberts.
Family and friends are invited to gather for brunch at 10 AM on Monday at Lebanon Baptist Church in Abbeville.
