WESTPORT – Joseph Raposa Carvalho, age 71, passed away peacefully at home on March 15, 2019, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Linda (Zitano) Carvalho. Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Antonio and Deolinda (Souza) Carvalho. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. Joseph enjoyed gardening, fishing, and playing poker. Most of all he loved spending time with his grandson.
Along with his wife he is survived by his children Stephen Carvalho of Norton and Kristin Valente of Fairhaven; step-children David Paulino of Bristol, RI and the late Donna J. Paulino of Westport; grandchildren Jason Carvalho, Nicole, Erica and Ashley Paulino, Alicia Carvalho and soon-to-be Jordan Valente; as well as many siblings, nieces and nephews.
Following cremation a burial will take place on Monday, April 15th at 12:30 P.M. at MA National Bourne Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River. www.rogersfuneral.com.
