Gwendoline Margaret (Evison) Chadwick passed away peacefully on March 4, 2019 at the Morrison Nursing Home in Whitefield, NH. She was 102 years of age. She was born in Yorkshire, England on May 4, 1916 to Edgar and Elizabeth Evison.
She became a nurse and served during WWII. Gwendoline nursed many service men back to health and that was where she met her future husband John.
She moved to the United States in 1947, married John and lived in Gilead, Maine where they started their family. They moved to Gorham where she was very busy raising their 5 children.
She was very involved with the Boy Scouts, PTA, and was a Girl Scout leader for many years. She loved to garden, read and care for the family pets. She participated often on the Bob Barbin talk show on WMOU.
Gwendoline is survived by 4 children: Joan of Hawaii, Peter and wife Betsy of Northwood, NH, Rita of Whitefield, NH and Barbara and husband Claude of Milan, NH. She has 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband John, daughter Wendy and granddaughter Christine Renee.
