Gary Robert Dailey, 72, died March 12, 2019 in Anderson where he had been a resident for more than 50 years.
He was born May 22, 1946 in Fairmount, IN, the son of Robert Wayne and Martha Ruth (Slater) Dailey.
He was a millwright at Delco Remy before retiring in 1998. He served in the Army National Guard.
Gary was a very kind and generous man with a huge heart and he was very supportive of all his grandchildren's activities.
His hobbies include classic cars and all art forms, including his hand crafted metal art.
Gary is survived by his two children, Misti (Shawn) Moore of Alexandria and Gary Joseph "Joe" (Carolyn) Dailey of Alexandria; five grandchildren, Justin Moore, Olivia Moore and Noah Moore, Joseph Robert "Joe" Dailey, Sarah Dailey; two great grandchildren, Braxton and Brakayla Dailey; sister, Bonnie Dailey of Anderson; many special friends including, Jim and Judy Roof and family and Dave and Jo Evans and family all of Anderson; nieces and nephews Lisa (Dan) Eubanks of Middletown, Kenny (Kim) Linn of Eaton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Phyllis Mc Gunegill and her son, Jeff Linn.
Memorial service will be 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2019, at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Shawn Moore officiating. Friends may visit with the family two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
