Stephen R. Devoe, 65 , of Beverly, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday March 4, 2019. He was the son of Lorraine R. (Caron) Devoe currently of Lawrence and the late Robert J. Devoe.
Born and raised in Salem, for many years was employed at the former Lyceum Restaurant, until his health began to fail. He always enjoyed spending holidays with his family and had great stories to tell of their growing up years. Steve also had a great love of basketball.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sisters, Vivian Abate and husband Alfred of Methuen, Catherine Doyon and husband Bert of Hooksett, NH, Nancy Libby and husband Bill of Danvers & Michelle Ricci and husband Tom of Groveland, and his brothers, Paul Devoe and wife Cindy of Wakefield, Robert J. Devoe, Jr. and wife Lois of Salem & Michael Devoe of Salem, NH. He also leaves his Goddaughter Kerrie Abate of Methuen as well as many other nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to his calling hours at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Route 114 / 1-A] Salem on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 12:45 to be followed by his funeral service in the funeral home at 1:00 PM. A committal service will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
