Obituary

Yvette C. (Dubois) Toyfair, 90, of New Bedford passed away peacefully on Monday, March 11, 2019. She was the wife of the late Roland W. Toyfair; they had been married for 70 years.

Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late George and Marie Anne (Boileau) Dubois, she lived in New Bedford for most of her life. She was a graduate of the Kinyon-Campbell Business School.

Mrs. Toyfair was formerly employed as a secretary at St. Luke's Hospital until her retirement. She had previously worked at Union Hospital, Parkwood Hospital, and Paragon Tours.

She loved spending time with her grandchildren and going shopping. She was always there for her family when they needed her.

She is survived by two children, Anne Pepin and her husband Mark of East Freetown and Thomas Toyfair and his wife Teresa of Agawam; her siblings, Suzanne Imel, Roger, Robert, Richard, and Paul Dubois; six grandchildren, Spencer Pepin, Ashley Dunphy and her husband Matthew, Tyler Toyfair, Brian Pepin and his wife Erin, Eric Pepin, and Scott Pepin; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was the mother of the late William Toyfair, and the sister of the late Georgette Newberg, Germaine Smith, Therese Ghilardi, Jeannine Penler, and Donald Dubois.

Her Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at 12 Noon at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, with visitation prior from 11 AM - 12 Noon. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. For directions and guestbook, please visit www.saundersdwyer.com.
