Delores (Souza) Mavel, age 87, of Somerset passed away on Saturday March 9, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. She was the loving wife of the late Elbert Mavel and daughter of the late Manuel L. Angelina (Anselmo) Souza. Delores was a button hole operator for Essex Mfg. for over 40 years, she enjoyed playing bingo, going to Foxwoods, camping and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her son: Gary Mavel (former wife Angela), grandson: Bryan G. Mavel (girlfriend Hannah Reed), and several nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Wayne D. Mavel and sister of the late Angelo Souza.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Thursday, March 14th here at 9 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial St. Thomas More Church at 10 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Calling hours on Wednesday, March 13th from 5-8 P.M.
