Salvatore Louis Maduri of Londonderry, New Hampshire died on Wednesday, March 6. Raised and educated in Boston's North End he was the son of the late Pantaleone and Rose (Viscome) Maduri. Salvatore proudly served in the Army during the Korean War, and later worked in sales and service for the garment industry. Salvatore was a longtime resident of Somerville and North Andover, moving to Londonderry eight years ago. He loved family and sports, and watching his children and grandchildren compete was a favorite pastime.
Salvatore was the beloved husband of the late Josephine (Marinello) Maduri, and the devoted father of Joseph P. Maduri and his wife Jean of Westford, and David J. Maduri of Londonderry, New Hampshire. He was the loving grandfather of Joseph D. Maduri and his fiancée Tara, and Perri J. Maduri. Salvatore was the dear brother of Catherine Pagliuca of Boston, the late Mae Pucillo, Joseph Maduri, Theresa Rizzari, Helen Regnetta, and brother-in-law of Mary Marinello and her late husband Louis, the late Vicenza Palma and her late husband Richard, Dominic Marinello and his wife Joanie, and Maria Marinello and her late husband Rocco. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Salvatore was predeceased by his longtime companion Rita Lafay.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Monday, March 11 at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday, March 10 from 3 through 7 PM. Services will conclude with burial at St. Michael Cemetery, Boston.
