FALL RIVER – Luisa Martins, age 90 of Fall River, passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Charlton Memorial Hospital with her loving family by her side. Born in Feteiras, São Miguel, Açores, Luisa was the daughter of the late Antonio De Oliveira Martins and the late Alexandrina (Neto) Martins, and the beloved wife of the late Manuel E. Medeiros.
Survivors include her daughter: Maria Fernanda Faria (life partner: Grace Ferreira) of Fall River and her son: Antonio M. Medeiros (wife: Paula) of the Açores; a sister: Isaura M. Aguiar of Canada; 3 grandchildren: Paula Melo (husband John), Catia Medeiros, and the late Marco Faria; 4 great-grandchildren: Evan Melo, Victoria Melo, Milton Faria, and Hugo Faria; several nieces and nephews.
A wake for Luisa, will take place on Monday, March 11th from 8:00 – 10:00 A.M. followed by a service in the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, INC. 1521 N. Main St., Fall River at 10:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River.
