Richard Vaillancourt, 81 of Tiverton died March 6, 2019. He was a wonderful provider and loved his family very much. He was a proud U.S. Marine and served for six years. He loved to ride his motorcycle and also enjoyed spending time showing and working on his antique cars. He was the husband of late Amy Vaillancourt for 62 years. Born in Fall River, the son of the late Ignace Vaillancourt and Marie (Levesque) Vaillancourt. He resided in Westport for 42 years before moving to Tiverton.
He is survived by a son: Richard Vaillancourt, Jr. And his wife Anne of FL; three daughters: Donna Smeaton and her husband Gary of Westport, Heidi Parent and her husband Norman of Somerset and Mundy Olivier and her husband Marc of New Bedford; 6 grandchildren: Gary and his wife CJ, April and her husband Todd, Shayne and his wife Katie, Adam and his wife Rachel, Janelle and Magen. 5 great grandchildren: Chase, Kylie and Sierra Caswell and Cedar and Zen Parent; 2 sisters Helen Heart of Somerset, and Jane Bouley.
Richard was known best as Pepere, he could make friends anywhere he went and could often be found having coffee on the corner with the guys. He was loved by his family very much and will be greatly missed.
There will be no public services but he asks that you keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
