William Morgan Calhoun, 72, of Tifton passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald. Services will be private and Mr. Calhoun will be laid to rest at Sardis Cemetery at Grace Primitive Baptist Church near Macon.
He was active in Boy Scouts and attained the rank of Eagle Scout. His hobby was travel and he was fond of three Georgia attractions; Georgia football, the Masters and Cumberland Island. Also, he was a food connoisseur. He graduated from Tifton High School, as well as the University of Georgia, where he earned his Bachelor of Business Administration Degree. Entering the business world, he became a field man with Kemper Insurance Group. Later, he started his own accounting firm in Tifton. He was active in Christian Science churches in Albany, Brunswick and Thomasville.
Mr. Calhoun is survived by his sister, Nez Calhoun of Birmingham, Alabama; and one brother, Wes Calhoun of Dunwoody. He was a wonderful brother to both of them.
The family appreciates the friendship of Doris Kinnett of Fitzgerald.
