Enzo Nanni, of Reading formerly of Malden passed away sudden and unexpectedly at the Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington, Monday, March 4, 2019. He was 70 years of age. Enzo was the beloved husband of Lorraine M. (Orlando). Born in Canosa Sannita, Italy, Enzo was the son of the late Camillo and Filomena (DiSario) Nanni.
Enzo came to the Unites States at the age of ten. He settled in Malden with his family where he was raised and attended school. He was a graduate of Malden High School. Enzo proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War attaining the rank of Sergeant prior to his release from active duty. Enzo worked as a package carrier with FedEx for over sixteen years before his retirement. In his leisure time he enjoyed cooking and sharing his culinary delights with family and friends. Along with his beloved wife Lorraine, they enjoyed traveling especially to the Florida Keys and throughout the Caribbean.
In addition to his beloved wife Lorraine, Enzo is survived by her cherished son, Dante Nanni of Reading. He was the brother of Concetta Miccoli of Italy, and the late Dante Nanni. He is also survived by many extended family members in Italy. Brother-in-law of Richard Orlando and his wife Gail of Medford, Paul Orlando of Billerica, Gerard Orlando and his wife Marie of Medford, Philip Orlando and his wife Nancy of North Andover and further survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held from the Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 374 Main St., WILMINGTON, Saturday, March 9th, at 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Athanasius Church, 300 Haverhill St., Reading, at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be held on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. Services will conclude with burial at Wood End Cemetery, Reading.
