The death of Robert Restuccia, a giant in the consumer health care movement, is being mourned Monday in Massachusetts and beyond.
Born in Boston, raised in Belmont and a longtime Jamaica Plain resident, Restuccia helped build Health Care For All and then for the past 18 years expanded his work in that field with Community Catalyst.
He died at the age of 69 after fighting pancreatic cancer, Community Catalyst announced Sunday afternooon.
Friends and colleagues are invited to celebrate Restuccia’s life on Saturday, March 9 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Parish Church in Brookline.
On April 30, 2019, a “Together For the People” event to honor Restuccia and support Community Catalyst and Health Care For All is planned at the Park Plaza in Boston. Contributions in Rob Restuccia’s memory can be made to the Restuccia Leadership Fund.
