FALL RIVER – Josephine M. Matias, age 79 of Fall River, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 2, 2019. Josephine was the daughter of the late Manuel & Maria (Moniz) Matias, and the sister of the late Joaquim Mathias.
Josephine is survived by several nieces & nephews, whom she loved and cherished. She is also survived by her sister in law, Hilda Mathias, with who she lived.
She enjoyed reading, baking, and visiting the Casino with her close friend, Freida. She will be sadly missed by all.
Visitation for Josephine will take place on Thursday, March 7, 2019 from 9-10 A.M. with a service to follow in the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St. Fall River. Interment will be private.
