Sherry Stone, 59, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Sunday, March 3, 2019, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 4 PM, Thursday, March 7, 2019, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Jeff Parmer officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in Fitzgerald. The family will receive friends 2 PM until 4 PM at the funeral home in Fitzgerald before the service.
Mrs. Stone was born April 16, 1959, in Mayon, West Virginia, to Crit Stivers, Jr. & the late Ruth Jean Bumgarner Linton Stivers. She worked at Central Music as a secretary for 31 years. She loved the outdoors, mowing grass, spending time with her parents and traveling to St. Augustine each year for her birthday. Mrs. Stone was a hard-working woman. She was a member of Crossview Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Jimmy Stone of Fitzgerald; a daughter, Amanda Jernigan & John of Fitzgerald; step-grandchild, Landon Jernigan and a brother, Darrell Stivers & Elisa of Mississippi. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Brooks.
