Lillie Belle Horton Rousey, 81, of Tifton passed away Saturday, March 2, 2019, at her residence. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2019, at Liberty Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Tucker officiating. Mrs. Rousey will be laid to rest at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, March 4, 2019, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Ricky Fletcher, Ricky Dean, Mark Dean, John Horton, Eric Wisham and Wayne Stone will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Ladies Sunday School Class at Liberty Baptist Church.
Born April 30, 1937 in Alapaha, Mrs. Rousey was the daughter of the late Howard Horton and Della Mae Raffield Horton. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Theo Milton Rousey; a grandson, Chris Rousey; two sisters, Nora Thomas and Bernice Thomas; and two brothers, J. D. Horton and A. J. Raffield. Before retiring, she was employed with B&B Vendors and she was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.
Mrs. Rousey is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Milton and Diane Rousey of Tifton; three daughters, Vickey Rousey, Debra Rousey and Ann Rousey, all of Tifton; her grandchildren and their spouses, Will Rousey and his girlfriend, Martine Pearce, Rachel and Ryan Futch, Nichole Rousey and Darius Tabor; and her great-grandchildren, Kynsee Tabor and Ethan Tabor.
