William Russell “Bill” Ethridge, Jr., 63, of Ocilla, Georgia, died Saturday, March 2, 2019 at his residence.
Graveside services will be held 3PM, Monday, March 4, 2019 at Pinetta Cemetery with the Rev. Eddie Braswell, Sr. officiating. The family will receive friends from 2PM until 3PM at Pinetta Baptist Church.
Mr. Ethridge was born February 19, 1956, in Cordele, Georgia to the late William Russell Ethridge Sr and Anzer Lowery Ethridge. He was a graduate of Doughtery County High School class of 1974. He was employed as truck driver for John Cook. He loved his family, motorcycles, fishing, and driving log trucks. Most importantly, he loved the Lord.
He is survived by his wife, Janie Ethridge of Irwin County; children, David Ethridge & Stevie of Cordele, Chuck McCook of Blackshear, Denny McCook & Heather of Fitzgerald and Jennifer McCranie of Irwin County; thirteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, John Ethridge & Miriam of Tifton; sisters, Sandra Braswell & Eddie of Americus and Debora Ethridge of Tifton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Jana Wilkerson.
