Thomas P. Hogan, III, of Saugus, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, February 28th. He was 76. Born and raised in Somerville, he was the son of the late Thomas P. Hogan, Jr. and the late Mary E. B. (Vaughn) Hogan.
Thom enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in the spring of 1963, from Boston, Massachusetts, serving during the Vietnam War. He was awarded the Vietnamese Service Medal, National Defense Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.
Thomas absolutely adored and loved spending time with his two grandsons they were his pride and joy. He was an avid poker player (and played a mean hand) he enjoyed trips to the local casinos and frequent visits to Las Vegas. Thom and Rosemary loved to travel and enjoyed the warm sun and white sand beaches of Aruba, Saint Thomas, the Dominican Republic and Mexico just to name a few.
Thomas was the beloved husband of Rosemary (Mucci) Hogan. He was the devoted father of Thomas P. Hogan VI, and his wife JulieAnn. He was the loving Bampee of Thomas James Hogan and Anthony Michael Hogan. He is also survived by many loving family members and friends.
His funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, on Thursday, March 7th at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday from 4 to 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
