CUTTYHUNK ISLAND — Carolyn Cornell Borges, of Cuttyhunk Island, peacefully passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Hathaway Manor in New Bedford. She was the wife of J. Bruce Borges and daughter of the late Thomas and Caroline Cornell.
She is survived by her husband; son, Thomas Lewis and his wife Kenyon; daughter, Leslie Gray; grandchildren, Richard Veeder-Oliveira and Megan Oliveira; eight great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Anita Cornell Brown and Cecile Potter.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Marilyn Oliveira and brother, Richard Cornell.
Burial will be on Cuttyhunk Island at a later date.
Her family wishes to extend their thanks to the staff of Unit 3 at Hathaway Manor for their loving care.
