Somerset – Roger F. Macomber, 84, of River Road, Westport, died Wednesday, December 28, 2005 at Clifton Rehabilitative Nursing Center. He was the husband of Mona M. (Wuchter) Macomber.
He was born in Fall River, son of the late Wallace and Bernice (Mosher) Macomber, and had summered in Westport all of his life until his retirement in 1988, when he became a permanent resident of the town. A veteran of WWII, he served his country in the United States Army. Prior to his retirement, he was a sales representative for the International Paper Company in Somerville, MA and also worked at Interstate Container in Lowell, MA. Mr. Macomber was a member of the Fall River Rotary Club, Manchester, CT Rotary Club, Toastmaster in Manchester, CT and former member of the Community Baptist Church, Manchester, CT. He enjoyed gardening and boating.
Including his wife, he is survived by a daughter: Nancy R.M. Whitin and her husband James of Westport and several nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Wallace Macomber.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Tuesday, January 3, 2006 at the Potter Funeral Home, 81 Reed Rd., Westport at 11:00 A.M.

Interment will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
