Obituary

SARASOTA, FL — Edward Wooler McConvill passed away on February 17, 2019 at Tidewell Hospice House in Sarasota Florida, with family by his side. He was born in New Bedford and lived there his whole life. He was the son of the late Edward McConvill and Grace Wooler McConvill.

He served in the Coast Guard, and was an inhalation therapist at St. Luke’s Hospital for many years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing pool and chess with his friends. He loved to travel with his companion Debbie and enjoyed time spent in Florida.

He is survived by his sister Janice Baker and her husband David, brother James McConville and his wife Donna, his loving companion, Deborah Johnson, her daughters, Jennifer and Colleen and her granddaughter Rhiannon, nephew James McConville, niece Heidi Baker, nephew David W. Baker his wife Jordan, great nephews, William and August, nephew Jason A. Baker and his wife Katelyn.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Visiting hours will be Friday, March 1, 2019, from 4-7 PM at Wilson Chapel, 479 County Street, New Bedford. Funeral service will be 9:30 AM on Saturday, March 2, 2019, at Wilson Chapel. His burial will be at Pine Grove Cemetery, 1100 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford, MA 02745. All relatives and friends are invited to attend.
