Dorsey, John B. 52 of Needham, MA and Springfield, ME. February 23, 2019. Born July 16, 1966 in Newton, MA. Son of the late Marcia J. Coffin and John B. Dorsey. Beloved brother of Robin A. Scott and her husband Alfonso Jr. of Palm Springs, FL and Kerry K. Morrill of Framingham, MA. Also survived by his cherished nieces Jean Ann, Emily Jane, Christina, Rebecca, Sarai, and Heather. John will be missed by his loving cousin Renee Killeen along with too many others to list. He is also loved by his aunts and uncles Judy Curry and her late husband Jack of Hyannis along with Ellen and "Billy" Curry of Ft. Myers Florida. John also leaves behind a special friend Jennifer Neville. John had many other friends from Maine to Florida that have touched his life.
John was raised in Newton Upper Falls and worked for the City of Newton as an electrician for 25 plus years. He loved his family and friends. He enjoyed snowmobiling, motorcycling and just having a good peaceful time. John was a long time member and past president of the Needham Village Club as well as a member of the Newton Elks Lodge 1327.
Visiting hours at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 1305 Highland Ave. Needham, on Friday, March 1 from 4-8pm. A funeral service for John will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, March 2, at 11am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment in St. Mary Cemetery, Needham.
