Rose Marie (Fournier) Benoit, 78, died peacefully at Sacred Heart Home on February 25, 2019.
She was the daughter of the late Arthur J. Fournier and Rosetta (Leblanc) Mandracia of Fall River, MA. She was formerly the wife of Eugene R. Benoit.
Rose Marie was an active member of Saint Julie Billiart Parish where she served as Eucharistic Minister for 12 years. She received her degree in social work and volunteered her services to the homeless. Her passion was helping others and working with the Missionaries of Charity of Mother Teresa of Calcutta.
Survivors include three daughters: Jean Marie Carr of Fairhaven, MA and companion Randy Westgate, Lisa Seabolt and her husband Robert of Federal Way, Washington, and Michelle Costa and her husband Mark of New Bedford, MA.
She was Memere to five beautiful grandchildren, Bethany Lyons, Brandon Murphy, Trevor Medeiros, Rachelle VanDyke, and Nicole Seabolt. She was grand-Memere to three great-grandchildren, Jagger Hess, Roriegh Hess, Willow Lyons.
She is also survived by four generations of nieces and nephews, and many cousins.
Her Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at 10 AM at St. Joseph's Church, 74 Spring Street, Fairhaven. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
