Obituary

TEWKSBURY: Cornelius Keane, Jr. age 67, a resident of North Tewksbury for 32 years, died Wednesday, December 28, 2005 at his home with his family by his side.
He was the husband of Marilyn E. (Brown), with whom he would have celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary on January 30, 2006.
Born in Waltham on May 18, 1938, he was the son of the late Cornelius and Ellen (Foy) Keane.
Mr. Keane was raised in Brighton and was graduated from Boston English High School.
Following graduation, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. Mr. Keane served with the Sixth Fleet during the Middle East Crisis in Lebanon.
Prior to his retirement in 1993, he was employed as supervisor of the shipping department for the Gillette Company of Andover, where he worked for more than 25 years. Mr. Keane previously worked as the manager of the former Kegler Café in Boston.
A resident of North Tewksbury since 1974, he was a communicant of St. Robert Bellarmine Church of West Andover. Mr. Keane previously lived in South Boston.
In earlier years, he served as a coach for the Tewksbury Little League and Senior League Baseball Programs.
Mr. Keane was a member of the Tewksbury Rod & Gun Club.
He was an avid golfer and football fan. He also enjoyed watching baseball and reading military history.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons; Jeffrey R. Keane and his wife Ethel (Sweeney) of Braintree, Cornelius J. Keane and his wife Karen (Kaslauskas) of Plymouth and Brian P. Keane and his wife Michelle (Girard) of Dedham.
Five grandchildren; Jeffrey Keane, Jr., Bethanne, Conner, Megan and Alyssa Keane; one brother; Dennis Keane of Billerica; also many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Keane was the brother of the late John Keane and nephew of the late Myra F. Foster.
Calling hours Friday, December 30th from 5-9 p.m., at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Funeral Saturday, December 31st at 9 a.m., from the funeral home, followed by his Funeral Mass at 10 a.m., at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 198 Haggett’s Pond Rd., Andover. Interment at St. Mary Cemetery, Tewksbury.
